by "differentiated commodity" I mean it's basically the same thing.

- for instance, AOL, Mindspring, AT&T, MSN, etc... are all ISP's which offer basically the same thing. AOL does have extras - but it's still basically ISP

- all I'm saying is that the price of ISP connection, like all tech services in a maturing market, is eventually going to drop. As it does, AOL will start losing members. When that happens, they're finished. IMHO.

- same goes for DELL, Gateway, & the others
