I agree, bring Cobalt Blue back.

>>It might be a legal CYA situation.

I believe that you are correct.

>>What's surprising they went directly to termination instead of suspension.

Didn't surprise me at all, and if I had been around when "it" happened I would have implored her to remove that post. You see, it had happened to me.

A while back someone challenged me to identify who he was. This person was already posting under his own name and email. I did a simple search and posted part of his "address" - but taking the precaution of disguising it by altering the name of the city. I had no malicious intent, I thought I was doing him a service by showing how easy it was for anyone to determine who he was.

The guy reported me anyway and I was terminated. I was surprised like you are now. I was told that posting someone's name and address was considered the worst offense possible. I pointed out that anyone could find out who he was since the guy already used his name and email address, that he had challenged me to do it, that I had disguised and only partially posted the address and that I had asked for the post to be removed when he complained to me - to no avail.

At first. I (and others) privately appealed the termination, explaining the events. I was reinstated.

Although my case was somewhat different, the precedent may help. And Cobalt is not without a few aces - the biggest being that the identified person, JLA, did not report her and has stated that he didn't care and that he wants her back. I'll bet he'll speak up for her if he hasn't already. Another is the public support of her friends.

Additionally, Empath Edwarda, the mistress of context, told me some things about CB that explain and ameliorate matters. That said,

I join the appeal, bring back Cobalt Blue.
