As you get to know us, Mike, you'll find most of the folks on g&k are long term, seasoned investors, with realistic expectations. In fact, this thread has a lot of old eggheads on it <sorry, Merlin>. We simply feel that 1999 and the first half of 2000 will be the best market for blue chip tech stocks that we've ever seen, and are trying to take our unfair share of the appreciation by using Gorilla Game selection metrics as our guide. So far it's been a excellent strategy. I think most of us know how to differentiate between goals and expectations.

There's no "Group Think" allowed here, so your judicious comments are most welcome. Sometimes we get a little excited, and it's not good for our aging hearts <vbg>.

Regards,
uf

btw, gmst makes my screen but not Lindy Bill's.

I think that is dangerous and results in overextension and additional risks.

I never use margin or options, MKC. To do so makes it more risky. Others on this board do.

We believe in investing in Gorillas and strong Kings and Princes here. If you want to run the returns of the 3 main Gorillas, CSCO, INTC, MSFT, for this decade, you can see why this board exists. Most of the people who have been posting to this board this year, invested in QCOM when we identified it as a Gorilla in a tornado, and have had more than a double out of it already this year.

MKC. Remember the poem that starts out, "I bargained with lime for a penny and life would pay no more." Is this you? Put another way, life is a little like quality. You get what you are willing to accept. You may want to work on your self image a little.

Mike, doubling each year IS my goal. It is NOT my expectation, but I am picking Gorillas, Kings and Tornado baskets with that very goal in mind.

I know that sounds crazy to you, but you are "out of context". Please RTFM and seriously consider the nature of the Gorilla Game.

We are not gambling on momo stocks here. That's is not the game.

Hope you stick around, but you gotta RTFM to understand what is going on. If you have already read the manual, then we have some other discussion to have in that context.
