jbe, I have been a proponent of spelling out the tou a little more succinctly, myself. Especially for things like posting addresses and duplicate id's why not just say it, in caps - DON'T post addresses!, Don't log in with duplicate ID's! - that should do it.

However, that only deals with the straightforward issues.

Say, for example, you have someone on SI who comes on every 6-hour period, and posts 20 one-word posts to one person. Click, Next, stuff like that. I would say that is harassing and that person should be reprimanded for it. But its a fine line, because you could have a legitimate argument between two people taking up 20 points every day - look at the Amazon thread for this - where one guy says Amazon will fail and the other says Amazon will succeed - and this is very worthwhile.

So, I don't see any way around a vague TOU really.
