Hans and Mohan -

I'm not sure if the gateway PR had anything to do with the price movement today. One thing is for sure, Satyam should hire a professional PR company. A company of this caliber, as well as so new to the market, should be putting out something than stronger than a quote, via a third party, saying that they plan to expand their internet gateway with their recently acquired IPO funds:

"India's Satyam Infoway Ltd will launch its planned Internet gateway within the next six months, its managing director said on Tuesday.

``Conservatively I would think it should happen in six months,' R. Ramaraj, managing director of Satyam Infoway Ltd, told Reuters in an interview."

Even though this is a quote from Reuters, the company has no business putting out such weak a weak message.

I hope behind the comments, Satyam has a well-defined business plan for growth. They have an unprecedented opportunity, a large pool of capital, and with a few strategic acquisitions and technology targets, could assume a dominant position in the Indian high tech arena, which translates into a solid opportunity for investors.

I hope someone from the company reads this thread and gets the message that strong, succinct, timely and informative PRs equate to strong shareholder value. Satyam is now responsible to public shareholders, not to private investors, and this could be a hard lesson for the company to learn, at the expense of us shareholders. Bottom line, get a first-class PR company and join the big leagues.

- George
