I just want to interrupt the festivities briefly, long enough to make the point that while there may be reasons, such as JLA's having posted directions to some of his resume stuff himself, or the nature of many of his postings, the fact remains that Cobe did misbehave, and without his weighing in with SI Bob, I believe she would not have been reinstated. As anyone who has ever administered a large program knows, a person with a job like Bob's thinks about precedent all the time. It is his responsibility to keep members from posting privacy-violating material about other members. The largest item in his consideration of this case, for future reference (in considering precedents and in "case-making"), will not be a collection of past posts that have provided mitigating context; it will be that the presumably offended party stated his desire that the violation be overlooked.

So while the context is interesting and informative, it doesn't change, to me, the fact that JLA behaved well here when he might have remained silent, and deserves credit for it.

Heck, I'm even grateful to Zoltan for his vote, and you gotta know how that hurts.

Party on, doods.
