Mike,

I can understand the mania generated by gains in Q, et. al.

I also welcome you and your thoughts toward restraint. However, I disagree with the characterization of "mania." Perhaps you were referring to a different folder as Jean was when she referred to it as "rah rah." Not to bring attention to my own posts, but if you read the posts that many wrote immediately after the Qualcomm/Ericsson deal was announced, you'll see the fundamentals in which the decisions to buy were rooted. If you then read the posts immediately following the announcements of Qualcomm's changed business model, you'll also see the reasons the stock has performed so marvelously.

It ain't mainia. It's exhausting work, hashing and rehashing to make sure we've got it right.

Old Egghead

P. S. That signature is a major compromise. Egghead is fine. But old? My Uncle Frank has let me down once again. :)

You might also read the posts of one Gregg Powers (find under Peoplemarks) from the beginning of this year. Gregg is the clearest and maybe the most knowledgeable overall about QCOM (with apologies in advance to the many, very smart people who have contributed to QCOM conversations).
