Extremely provocative but extremely problematic...

"Humans make the difference yet to nature they are all of the same value. Zero or infinite. The notion of value isn't applicable in an absolute sense"

You talk in paradox so it is extremely difficult to quickly address your statements. I will post a reply at some point.

ahhaha,

would you or anyone here like to take a stab at explaining what is going on with the lease rates vs forward rates. i think it is quite understandable as to why lease rates have been dropping but why would the forward rates continue to climb? fewer producers willing to forward sell?

tia,
paul

I think you would find that the increase in disposable goods (which we could now
include as just about everything),which is your industrial companies, would run close
parallel to the markets. Unfortunately gold is not a disposable good. Some has been lost
only to be found a hundred years later at the bottom of the ocean and did not deteriorate
in quality. A truly non-disposable. This, for centuries was the great appeal of the yellow
and therefor held a higher value in relation to other goods. To possess something that was
indestructible when life was short lent the feeling to ones own life. Compare the
possession of gold to life expectancy in India. Life expectancy is continually increasing
in wealthy countries so that psychological effect has waned. So an non-disposables in a
world hell bent on producing disposable at an ever increasing rate isn't going to catch the
big buck for long. Still looking for those blips in gold price when they come.

< Humans create the only Value.>

Absolutely True. But Value limits the infinite possibilities inherent in life. Life is more than Value. When a value is imposed, life becomes restricted. In the financial markets, we see this restriction placed on the vast majority of stocks which are selling at a tremendous discount to the premium valuation of Internet related companies. Value is not necessarily Right or Moral ( Are you listening Bobby?). It is judgement, a synthesis of theoretical and practical reason, a determination of Will.
The Internet is clearly being given a Divine Valuation today. The Wisdom that comes into being and passes away on the Internet is Divine. In a sense, the Internet gives all and takes all. It is the Mother of dialogue, true discourse and conversation, LOGOS . The Internet is Invaluable. Is this why there is no old-fashioned way to value it?
