Is your IQ so depressed to understand that there is a large contingency of people who:

1) do not like the performance and stability of MSFT products

2) do not like nor respect MSFT business practices

You can't be this stupid. Why don't you go somewhere else and try to persuade people with less intelligence and experience about how great MSFT is. It ain't going to happen here, unless MSFT changes its corporate mission dramatically. You guys that come to this thread pitching MSFT simply are bulkinizing peoples views that have been formed over 100's of man-years of computer experience on a broad spectrum of equipment and software with your BS. Please go try your BullShit, on MSFT's favorite clientele and marketing targets, the computer ignorant. You're wasting bandwidth and important peoples times and energies with your worthless posts in the true spirit of MSFT FUD and BS.

Thanks for your assistance.

Jr. Balloon/ALL: I'm a long term SUNW shareholder. Don't frequent this thread 'cause (quite honestly) SUNW is such a steady horse I don't worry about it.

A couple of months back, I recall another split coming up. Anyone able to confirm and perhaps share the date?

Thanks.
Peter

MSFT is not selling a product that KILLS you. Conceded. However, they are selling a product that has was killing my productivity before I said ENOUGH! and started using Java, Linux and other non Microsoft technologies.

I don't think what Microsoft is doing is as bad as what the tobacco companies are doing, but neither do I recommend that they be made to reimburse the Federal and State governments for the costs incurred due to use of their product, due to its complexity and unreliability. Although that might get their attention.

MSFT is not selling a product that KILLS you. This is the kind of rhetoric that I was refering to.

No, but you know what. It threatens our *youth in a way that's not dissimilar. Because of all the big monopoly bucks buying lobbiests and marketing, our SCHOOLS and education are really and truly being threatened by educators being led to believe that "tech" is about learning PowerPoint in place of TCP/IP. You know what else? Other countries are gaining ground on us FAST because of it. Mexico for instance, is teaching students there open standards, Linux, networking and actual relevant things, while OUR schools teach PowerPoint. That's a problem, JB.

Edit: It may very well be said that M$ threatens to cost our society MORE in future productivity dollars than the entire tobacco industry.

This 'zealot' thing is a lot deeper than you may be giving it credit for. This 'jihad' is very real. Speaking for myself and I'm sure more than a few other 'anti-M$ers' here on the SUNW thread, our feelings begin way before the point we became SUNW shareholders. Rather go off and list it all point by point until my ears start turning red. I would just implore you to appreciate the validity of why there are such strong feelings about M$, and also caution you, indy investor to indy investor to not dismiss this 'jihad' so quickly. We're for real, and increasingly mainstream.
