Frank, My point was not to point fingers, particularly at the hosters (esp. those who only offer SLAs up to the network level), but to attempt to get to the "root" of the problem, if at all possible. I am in total agreement with you that so much of what goes on out there is "shoot from the hip," and that perhaps we can learn from this. Thanks for your quick response, BTW. I have since heard that Schwab is almost totally an IBM customer, and is PROBABLY an IBM customer as well. I say probably, as the person who I spoke with wasn't 100% sure. But I would like to find out (as much as possible) what the problems are.
