Greg, <Solution Microskoff will borrow a page out of Intels play book...simply withold developmental information from the uncooperative.>

And you think that strategy will work for the home game market? It works only when you're already controlling the de facto standard. It works for the Windows market because there is no viable alternative OS on the PC. (Not even Linux.) But it's not going to work for the gaming market, since software developers will just flip MS the birdie and go with developing for the more popular Sony and/or Nintendo platforms.

The only way I see MS strategy being even remotely successful is if MS tries to build upon the PC gaming market, instead of trying to directly challenge the big boys from Japan. This way, the studios developing PC games will be able to sell more units, which leads to bigger budgets on PC games development, which then brings PC games to the same level as games developed for Sony or Nintendo. But this is definitely not going to happen by using your strategy, Greg.

Good News nus, and every one of those MS Gamestation games will come out in a software version optimized for GUESS WHAT, an AMD Athlon.
