Hi B, So long as Vitesse creates interesting products with their proprietary (and high entry level) processes in GaAs, they probably won't become a "commodity" type of business.

As time progresses, however, the advent of competitive materials is a very real possibility. There is a mix of price, performance and availability that is always being redefined as new materials and techniques as well as older, improved methods come after VTSS's market share.

There are others making products in the same materials as VTSS, but very few that make products that compete directly with them at this time. My crystal ball isn't clear enough to know if VTSS will always have the lead, but they certainly do for now.

Best regards, Tom
