The only way out is exactly what they are doing now. The real management problem will occur when the next round of covering begins. Will they be able to control it? That is the question. I do not think that they can juggle that many balls. The problem is that nobody knows how many OTC forward contracts there are as they are just agreements between two parties. It will be very difficult to monitor. Everybody, including the jewelry producers, were not sure about the rally. I would expect that when the POG turns around that the physical buyers will show up just like home buyers buy when they believe mortgage rates are headed higher.
