Penny stocks ... have mine at NDB ... no maximum amount of shares per commission and 14.74 or 19.75 depending on market or limit order. I got royally screwed buying 10,000 shares of a penny stock through Discover ... didn't know the minimum commission was something like $30 and .01 per share ... or at least that's what I vaguely remember. All I know is that the stock only cost me about $500 and the commission was about $100.

At Discover Brokerage things don't get better but worse!! I gave them the benefit of the doubt and it cost me big dollars. I wrote them and they basically ignored my case and told me to go to hell, not in so many words. I love Brown's Company and they charge $5 for market orders up to 5000 shares. They charge $10 per limit order. They have good and reliable system and fast execution(my experience is buying S&P 500 stocks only). Their web site is "www.brownco.com". I think datek, etrade, and so forth still have problems. Just check out threads about them here on SI. In any case, research the firm here on SI first before you decide.

Good luck to all,

Christopher
