those that keep everything tight lipped get punished by WS.
That was certainly true in the past - and resulted in the kind of selective disclosure and "wink and nod" guidance that prompted the recent comments by the SEC.

I like the current path CPQ is on better - absolute fairness in disclosure, let the analysts predict as they will, devil take the hindmost. If CPQ was a $500M startup, they might get in trouble, but the financial community can not afford to ignore CPQ or "punish" them long term, CPQ is just too big. Especially if other big players start to go the same route. It will be interesting to see if CPQ maintains this stance over time.
