Hi Jim,

A similar phenomenon with CPQ yesterday, as the "leaks" on the relatively good earnings report just kept the stock inching higher... I guess they will never be able to stop all the leaks completely, as things are just so massive and huge now (government, market, etc).
Good explanation over on your thread of what will happen when the new stocks are inserted into the Dow... I have bookmarked your thread for future reading.
Personally, I think that they are being much too conservative keeping the ol' Dow at just 30 stocks. In my opinion, that is just not enough stocks to be truly representative of the market these days. They should have at least 50 stocks in there now. At one time, there was only 15 or so stocks in the Dow, so they are being stubborn keeping it at 30...
My favorite index is the OEX for representing the market. Yogi
