Susan,

The last time margin debt was this high was in July of this year, and we all know what happened then...

With so much liquidity either wrapped up in the market or on the sidelines, I can't believe market professionals won't take the opportunity to take the easy money lying in margin accounts through a hard and fast drop, spurring the inevitable margin call spiral down.

It just seems too easy...

there was a discussion about 125% mortgages and trading a wk or 2 ago... but this is totally diff. IMHO, I have to find it hard to believe that any kind of credit card trading is going to effect the market like real margin debt trading.
Those that trade w/ CC advances deserve whatever they have coming.
