Brad, note that the American Express blue card is using the Multos OS. That's the operating system that Mastercard is using to check out biometrics. That's the good news.

The bad news is that any readers being handed out (or later, sold) will not be biometrically enabled. That can create a legacy problem down the road.

So if AmEx is interested in biometrics, I hope they do it sooner rather than later, because I'd hate to see x million smart card readers out on desktops that can't be used for fingerprint biometrics, and would have to be junked in order to get IDX up and operating.
