I have high regard for eBay's accomplishments and expect the company to do well for many years to come.

My problem with eBay is that the stock price is way too high, given the company's slowdown in growth and increase in expenses.

I also think it was a bad move for eBay to buy offline auction companies like Butterfield. It complicates their revenues, and these offline companies just don't have the growth we expect from Internet companies.

I will be watching closely this quarter to see if there is a significant increase in auction growth (so far, there hasn't been), and I will be looking to see if sellers are seeing an increase in the success of their auctions (so far, the success has been declining).

In addition, a significant decline in stock price could get me interested in the stock once again.
