Don't set your expectations too high for 4Q share gains - the xmas season typically favors CPQ unit volume and DELL has not yet gotten their consumer product line rolling. If DELL gets product awareness up sometime in November they could have a shot at it, but given DELL's shortages in LCD and DRAM, I would be surprised if DELL locked in the #1 position in 4Q, even in the US.

But the trend is inevitable and by 1Q99 (calendar) DELL should be back on top in the US, and given current trends, should take the #1 slot worldwide by 3Q or 4Q.
