Eric, if you are in SF then you probably know PacBell directory is there... this is a different company than PacBell - they are the owners of this huge telephone book which they used to sell on CD-Rom, I suspect that business has dried up and they are trying to cash in with this monsterbook thing.

Pacbell directory is only a list of names and addresses but they get accessed by all the bells and charge for that. Its amusing that all these old companies like monsterbook and epiphany etc. have "reinvented" themselves on the internet... I doubt much reinvention is going on btw.. <gg>

Glenn - regarding Monsterbook - I thought Yahoo already published an hardbound "internet yellow pages". In fact, I can
recall seeing hardbound "internet yellow pages" type books (including Yahoo's) in bookstores as long as 3 years ago -
maybe longer. It looks like Monsterbook, though, is positioning this as a "new" idea.

I recall those yellow books in the book stores too but do not recall who was the publisher.
