Whew! Great news:

I was feeling pretty uneasy until I read the following from our friends at S&P.

Lam Research's Outlook Boosted To Stable From Neg: S&P

NEW YORK (Dow Jones)--Standard & Poor's said it revised its outlook on Lam Research Corp. to stable from negative.

S&P said the ratings for Lam Research reflect the company's "good position in certain niche semiconductor processing markets and good liquidity, offset by aggressive competitive conditions.

"The revised outlook recognizes substantial sales recovery and improved profitability as its served market emerges from a three-year recession.

"Recovery in Lam Research's target market, and its expected level of revenues and earnings should continue to support the current rating.

"Competitive pressures are likely to limit higher ratings over the intermediate term," S&P said.

Brian, I would pay too much attention to the target price
of the analysts. What's more important is the overall
industry environment, company's product momentum, and the
quality of the company's management team. I remember Lehman
had a price target for LAM at $45 when the stock was trading
aroung $60. Based on your company's business outlook,
you should have your own target price.
