Treading water this week. Much as you said Rande, not worth selling, it would just be a gift to my broker. Looking at spending the last of my cash. Probably on LQID and BBY.

Couldn't believe the newspapers on Sunday, the bearish sentiment was off the charts. Shaking those shares loose from the little guy reading his/her Sunday paper....they should be ashamed of themselves. But, greed overcomes shame every time. Those bearish sentiments gave me courage to hold, even with choppy waters such as ANTC, UIS...

I am thinking the the Employment Cost report will decide how far this bear trap goes. If it is moderate at all, we'll see some people picking up our babies at bargains before the open. If it's ugly, we'll get even better opportunities tomorrow morning. That is the question, miss the boat by waiting until tomorrow, or use up cash today and have none for bargains tomorrow. HMMMM...

What is the deal with spread on LQID???

Nice news from UIS...

Signaling a fundamental shift in the economics of large-scale computing for electronic business, Unisys Corporation today launched the Unisys e-@ction Enterprise Server ES7000, a family of servers based on the revolutionary Cellular MultiProcessing (CMP) architecture.

The Unisys e-@ction Enterprise Server ES7000 is positioned to eclipse the industry's best UNIX/RISC-based server as a large-scale electronic business computing engine. Matching the performance of high-end UNIX/RISC systems at a fraction of the price, the new servers remove the last barriers to using Microsoft and Intel technology as the foundation for global, high-volume electronic business computing.

Expected to deliver three times the performance of commodity systems with eight Intel Pentium III Xeon processors, the Unisys e-@ction Enterprise Server ES7000 systems address tasks requiring the power, uninterrupted availability and ease of administration once available only on large UNIX/RISC systems or mainframes.

Rande, while your idea of doing a paper comparison of big cap stocks is interesting, why bother? Everyone knows, or should know, the markets are rigged to a certain extent. Like the budget surplus the administration is touting today, it is all hot air.
Play developing trends and ride them untill that trend reverses.
Just look at FFIV, which was a buy today at 121, and a sell at 142.
That is 21k in a few hours.
That trade required minimal decision time, actually it took longer to enter the trade than the thinking to do it process. Keep it simple, keep some powder dry, pick the right stuff, long and short.

I am neither a bull nor bear this minute, because I can make money in either direction, and this minute there is no overall general direction. (the bias is down, however)
The employment cost report will give direction Thursday, but that may only last a day due to internet time...........Be carefull
