Karin,
Hi!!!
Thanks for the information and upbeat prognosis of why someone should invest in DELL...

Why be patient? On days like today....Call it the big picture of whatever...this is how I think...

Questions or rather comments I believe everyone should be considering:

1. Why do we have shares NOW for a split by next whenever? When they could have asked us next Spring for the approval of shares?

2. Why did Michael tell Gartner Group two weeks ago that he saw DELL at 25% rather quickly and 50% world wide market "DOWN THE ROAD A BIT"??
(Need one be reminded we are only at 11.6% now and how in the world would be able to gain that kind of market share other than obtaining a partnership with someone else that would make up the 25%.... plus the obvious growth with the absence of someone bidding against DELL...)

In addition why did Michael Dell predict to everyone at the shareholders meeting that someone would "EXIT THE PC BUSINESS WITHIN FIVE YEARS" ?? Perhaps it is an incremental walk don't run deal that would push the entire PC business in a smooth fashion or transition to DELL ....???
The sheer size of the physical developments in Nashville lend an obvious curiosity for someone that has followed the previous rapid developments in Round Rock...Ask Patrick to give you his "interpretation" of such... :o)

3. Don't you think it is rather stupid of IBM to make ANY deal with DELL that would further impact the loss potential in their PC sales? Why all the technology in March to DELL? Why the service contracts by IBM for DELL when this is the last trump card that IBM has against DELL when dealing with large corporate accounts?

4. Why did Kevin Rollins "talk down to folks" at the end of the 1st qt. when the stock dropped? And, use the words: "anyone that sells DELL will be sorry".....IMO that is a rather strong prediction..not your typical comment coming from a corporate head...IMO coming from this management it basically is telling someone they will look foolish if they don't keep faith...a statement that surely doesn't fit with the normal "hints" they have been telling us for a long time..

Why is DELL not going up? The entire market stinks...DELL is still growing at over 50% and the future still looks very impressive...I hold faith in the management ...Listening to the skeptics is not a priority...

Best, Kemble
