It just makes sense to release Windows 2000 in February. They'll get very cold reception from corportate users if they do it now. No question about it, they are ready with the software. They just want to avoid any Y2K jitters. By February 17, 2000, the Y2K misgivings will be behind us all and IS money will be available by that time.

Eric, these reporters should maybe speak to company officials before they print such nonsense. Most of these people don't understand that the launch date still remains December 1999.

Actually today's announcement is very encouraging in that it seems probably they will get it out by year end.
