.Trev - I once posted, to Rick the Vet I think, that Trudeau tried in 1969 to end the native welfare state that had been and still is such a disaster. His plan called for a one time pay out, the death of the Indian Affairs department, and then natives would be treated in the exact same manner as every other Canadian. His point man on the deal was Indian Affairs minister Jean Chretien. The public was outraged by the plan though and he backed off. If Chretien tried this same move today the public reaction would be overwhelmingly in favor I would think.

Can you describe this "hell on earth" that you are suffering under.
