Sometimes you're damned if you do and damned if you don't.

No, I have not changed my mind. I would love to let the past bury the past. But some people keep bringing it up.

If I didn't respond to X's accusation of defamation, supported as I recall by you, many here would imply that I was accepting that I defamed CB. Which I don't believe I did.

If I just denied it without any reference to the facts, that would be meaningless.

So the only way to respond was to address the issues. Which requires addressing the substance, since defamation is fact based. I tried very hard to make clear that I was doing it not to resurrect the past but to respond to the recent accusation of defamation and the implied threat to seek my ouster from SI. Which given the recent history of the thread was a threat not to be taken lightly.

I would be glad to hear your suggestion as to how I could have better responded to the accusation of illegal activity and the threat to seek my ouster from the thread. Any suggestions?
