Jean - Re: 'Needless to say, the cripples "IBM, CPQ & HP" have been able to crush INTC, MSFT and DELL very well this autumn , and in some cases , (Dell) all year.... "

Great rant - I enjoyed it all - and agree wholeheartedly.

The only "weapon" you and I and other Intel investors have is TIME.

Intel is in a funk - partly because of their own execution problems (Coppermine/Camino) and partly because they make real things - they get their hands dirty - Wall Street likes squeaky clean hands - dirty hands remind them too much of WORK - which they abhor.

Every couple of years, Intel rolls out a new process and process generation, and the stock STALLS as it takes time for the new devices to penetrate into the market and produce the inevitable positive financial impact that many of us (I included) expect to happen INSTANTANEOUSLY.

So, give it TIME - as much as another year - while Intel digs out from its technical difficulties, Y2K issues are resolved, and the PC/Internet business continues to grow, enhancing Intel's OLD and their NEW businesses.

And for those who are able, let Wall Street provide us with a recurring better price to add to our Intel, Microsoft, Dell, etc. positions.
