Let's see, if you had invested $1,000 in AC 11 years ago you would have right now $813. If you had invested in Onex at that time, you would have $9,446.

How is this relevant - Onex and Air Canada aren't even in the same busines? If you'd put $1,000 into MSFT 11 years ago, you'd be a millionare! Conversely if you'd put $1,000 into Canadian Airlines 11 years ago, you probably couldn't afford to buy a cup of coffee.
