My momma has been on thyroid since the early Miocene, and she clearly prefers the extract (Armour) to the Synthroid as well.

Wow thanks... I'm amazed so many people have this medical thing goin' on!

I've never heard of this Armour thyroid. You say you feel better on it - how so? Were you taking synthroid and your TSH was still out of range... or was it in range and the Armour stuff just "feels" better to you?

They keep giving me bloodtests and my TSH is in range... was that your situation or were you not reacting to the synthroid which was why you tried others? (I actually think I'm on the synthroid clone, levothroid come to think of it)

I'm intrigued by this and will ask at my next check-up--- except that it's my gyn. who always runs the test for me. And he probably won't know what I'm talking about.
Armour--- as in Armour beef? Is that why it's not good for vegetarians?
Is it covered by insurance?
Thank you!
