when i edited the system.ini file, neither of the two above values were present and i had to insert them. there was a [vcache] section in the file, however,

mr.mark, when i pulled up my System.ini file there was no vcache
mentioned anywhere. I typed in vcache at bottom of the list and
added the two line beneath the vcache. Now the system has relocated the three lines up in the files between, dibeng.drv= dibeng.dll,
and, comm.drv=comm.drv,. Must be OK, seems to be working ok.
