Somehow this news item started a cascade of thoughts ... that ended up in a fearful (for me) thought: 1. IDX hooks up with a software company who will provide the hardware while IDX provides the software ... enigmatic? 2. The stream-of-consciousness lately has been the "...software" mantra, 3. Software, software ...Microsoft 4. Mac OS, Lotus 1-2-3, WordPerfect, Netscape (The common thread being: Something is a success and Microsoft reworks it and puts it in the MS operating system. The originator dies away.) 5. Any bets that MS is not now working on biometric inclusion into their OS? 6. What's so special about IDX software that would deter/delay/prevent MS from doing to IDX what was done to the others?

David, I must share the Wendell today with Bob Jordan.....this one is good. I hope people are keeping track of all this stuff......China has a new ID card coming too....and it would seem that IDX is gearing up to crank out cheap devices. I believe China is where you want to be cranking from....Yes? And Jeesh.....what's with Hockeyfan? Killing him? My goodness...he must be one of those super sensitive guys. The good news...is that by virtue of the fact that you have only played golf a few times in your life......Hockeyfan may have a shot at staying out of the cellar next Spring in Cabo.<g> bg
