Added bench strength would indeed be worth something potentially significant. But implicit in this assumption is that this bench is currently exhibiting low productivity at Data General. After EMC acquires these employees, their productivity must increase. This is a rather significant leap, and to me the probability of that happening is not high.

OTOH, I may be misinterpreting your post. The probability of me doing that is very high.
