Stevie - Re: "Sorry about the yield problems on .18 MIA-CuMines.
Sure hope they can get that 733 BUG fixed soon.
Maybe next year. Looks like 4q is shot for iNTEL."

I don't think so.

Paul

Steve,

Now there are two dealers with ASUS mobo listed at pricewatch under the Athlon Mobos category. Also, I noticed that there is a big jump in the # of dealers offering Microstar boards which indicates increased supply of mobos from Microstar.

Regards,
Goutama

Steve,
Looks like Cyrix will muddy the market and the VIA KX133 chipset is coming...by the end of the year..
viatech.com

Las Vegas, Nevada
BOOTH S2243
November 15-20, 1999

At Fall Comdex '99 VIA will be showing it's full line of
Apollo Chipsets and Cyrix Processors. VIA will display
running demos of its two newest chipset solutions, the
Apollo KX133, the ultimate AMD Athlon solution, and
the Apollo Pro133A, the only high performance
solution now in production that combines AGP4x,
PC133, ATA66 and a 100MHz Front Side Bus. In
addition, attendees of the show will get a first glimplse
of VIA's running demo of its new DDR/PC266 chipset
for the next generation of memory solutions. For the
first time, VIA will be showing its recently acquired line
of PC processors, featuring the yet-to-be released
Joshua CPU. The Joshua is a Socket 370, Celeron
compatible processor with 3D enhancements, a 256K
L2 cache and speeds of 433 to 500+ MHz. VIA will also
be showing integrated chipsets, multimedia/embedded
solutions and other unannounced product.

I wonder what the PR rating will be for a 500MHZ Joshua?...or if it will lead VIA to the promised land?
