Djane - Tejas* recently initiated coverage on LWIN as buy while putting 'sell' label on GSTRF today.... anyone out there speculate that they dumped their position (if they held one) in GSTRF and bought LWIN today? No news, yet as you probably already know - LWIN closed up nearing +5 on the day.

*On Monday, October 18, 1999, Tejas Securities Group, Inc. issued an equity report on Leap Wireless International, Inc. (Nasdaq: LWIN) authored by analyst Blake W. Carter. Carter initiated coverage of Leap Wireless with a BUY recommendation on the LWIN common stock and a twelve-month price target of $50.00 per share.

Someone bought big - volume for LWIN 2x normal ... of course, volume for GSTRF was also > 4x normal.

Such the deal today -> 50 shares of last year's QCOM now buys 1000 shares of GSTRF ! Looking at it from this perspective, it's quite the bargain (provided all goes well, of course). Still hard to justify letting Q go for GSTRF right now.... 'specially with Q reporting next Tuesday.

It'll be interesting to see some TA tonight on today's GSTRF action - you may be right about the bottom ..... But then again, wouldn't our buddies, the shorts, want to be all over this one again - thinking they've got yet another iridium-type opportunity so close to the Holidays! It wouldn't bother me too much - incentive to buy more before the New Year.

take care
