Internet Capital Buys Stake In Internet Firm For $50M WAYNE, Pa. (Dow Jones)--Internet Capital Group Inc. (ICGE) agreed to acquire a stake in eMerge Interactive Inc. for cash and a note totaling $50 million. In a press release Wednesday, Internet Capital said it expects to complete the purchase in November, following the expiration of the Hart-Scott-Rodino waiting period. eMerge Interactive provides electronic commerce and information services for the animal industry, primarily the cattle segment. Internet Capital is a business-to-business electronic commerce company.
