Thanks for the sales recap.

It's inevitable that sales will slow as the pool of the existing PC owners becomes absorbed and the rush to shop on the Internet becomes more ordinary and trivial.

I think this year's Christmas will be extremely strong for Amazon - with sales north of $550 million, nearly equalling last year's growth rate between the 3rd and 4th quarters. Last Christmas many people tried Internet sales and this year it will be the IN thing to do. However, the level of Internet advertising has nearly reached the absorbtion level and the novelty will wear off - after the party comes the hang-over and a lousy outlook on the day(s) ahead. The bulls will have something to bounce off the walls about through the early part of next year but then get very careful of the darlings, IMO.

------------

One interesting trend I noticed in a survey of Internet insider selling and disclosure patterns: While there has been a slowing of insider selling in many of the darling plays, there has been a sizeable increase in form 144 filings (intent to sell). See if you agree: insidertrader.com
