The possibility of holding general elections in the country was dealt a serious blow
when Chief Executive General Pervez Musharraf said that no time-frame has been
set for elections.

The military regime may take upto three years to pull the nation out of the current
crisis.

Gee, I wonder what that 35% hike is gonna do to inflation! :-)

Also, the fact that the hike was held back until after the elections clearly shows that there is a long way to go before India can trumpet that it has entered the era of "less government".
