Dumb question. What manipulation does is it injects false sense of security among retards. So, with out regard to any homework on their part, they go out and buy. Much like the honest working people who bought HWP today or EBAY yesterday. I am sure at least a good many of the people who bought EBAY yesterday were thinking "gee, they will beat estimates by a mile and announce a split. Even if they don't, it won;t be as bad as I can hang tough until the Feds come and bail me out. So, lemme go and buy EBAY for the earnings play as there are lot of shorts that need to be taught a lesson." Do I expect the Feds to come to the rescue of EBAY buyers? Absolutely not. But they sure were successful in injecting such audacity among certain individuals, such as yourself. Another thing, once the authorities put their fingers there is no such thing as NORMAL fluctuations. BTW, if I were teaching a class, you are the kind of student I whish never registers for my class. -g-
