CPQ is on the mend. If we don't get the revs in Q4, we'll make up for it in Q1. Either way, CPQ will begin to recapture its share of the business with a cleaner more profitable operation. Capellas inferred that the first 2 weeks of Oct. have been good. With new products, a new CFO, and cutting edge internet strategy and innovations on the way in Q4, imho, CPQ will be the best place to have your $$$ in the pc field for the next 6 months. Like the guy said on CNBC today, he's sticking with CPQ as the best stock to be in for a double over the next year. El

Captain: Words are cheap! Niles was saying that COMPAQ was a falling knife, that the only sure bottom was zero, that the earnings would be disastrous - and he was saying all this 48 and 72 hours ago sitting on an array of data collecting and analytic tools with a whole army of helpers. He was wrong. You were saying it would go to $17 and $12. You were wrong. The average person on this thread, using common sense and reason, was right. As predicted, the media hungry gurus and their simpering followers will now try to save face by justifying their errors of judgement. In about 3-4 weeks they will make cooing noises, before finally upgrading COMPAQ. In the meantime, why should we discuss their worthless opinions. Starved of the oxygen of publicity maybe they will just go blue in the face.
