Great information! thanks. i feel more comfortable with knowing that it is standard accounting procedures to amortize goodwill. i will sleep better knowing GBLX will rise as hoped.

Sounds like the apple hasn't fallen far from the tree :-)

But the little Dictionary of Finance and Investment Terms
published by Barron's you cite from is a must have if one
is serious enough about investing to manage their own
portfolio; it alone goes a long way to help decipher SEC
filings and the like (especially when one *doesn't* have all the
appropriate accounting degrees...)
