That's all true. Our son is wonderful, and a wonderful Daddy, and Monica is would be like a daughter, only she never went through a mean stage toward us and is more like a sister to me because we laugh and talk and do stuff together, and they have the most wonderful children on earth, although I've heard stories about Steven's Joey and Jenny and Lather's Helen that are pretty damned cute.

Our son was a monster as a teenager. This should give everyone with a horrible teenager hope.

He was still be horrid toward us on occasion when he and Monica, whom he had loved since the 4th grade, decided to get married, and when he brought her to meet us for the first time in adulthood, he told us later that when they got in the car to leave, she said to him, pulling out of the driveway, "I don't want to ever hear you criticize your parents again, you don't deserve them."

And he's been nice ever since.

Did we get lucky, or what?

But really the point of that story about Angus was the "his or her" feelings. Which just made me laugh again.
