Hi wily; Every night the stock holders of AMD go to bed
with a simple prayer on their lips. "Oh God, please protect
us from the fury of the Norsemen, and, by the way, also
make Intel keep trying to use Rambus."

By the way, I'm currently back in gloat mode, similar to how I was
after I more or less predicted the Camino fiasco. It seems that I
managed to predict AMZN's 3Q99 sales figures to an accuracy of
better than two parts in a thousand:

Amazon.com Announces Financial Results for Third Quarter 1999
sales for the third quarter were $356 million
biz.yahoo.com

Saturday, Jul 31 1999
AMZN Growth Rates 3Q99 &c. extrapolated:
3Q99 356579 132% -39% -23%
4Q99 508314 101% -31% -23%

Wily, you cited a quote from Intel about transition, but WHERE did it come from? Can you provide a link?

Thanks,
Jeff Smith

Wily, thanks much for the link. Great find! After reading the article though (referred to in:

Message 11730691 )

I read it as more like "we've screwed up in the short term, and recognizing this we are not going to force the matter once we have our act together." Same result, longer time span. At least not in my book the death knell for RMBS.

Thanks again,
Jeff Smith
