It's a bitter pill to swallow, but It does appear that y2k is having and effect on the box makers, especially HP. Though sun seems to be immune.

No it is an execution problem at hwp just like cpq.
also, if I was a hwp shareholder I would be screaming at IR to get the new ceo front and center to individual investors and respond in real terms what the impact will be NOT just to a few select analysts. I know most companies do this on a routine basis but this was very sensitive info for a very nervous market in a jittery sector about a sensitive subject. CEO needs to take responsibility for these problems not just blame y2k like it is some kind of F%^&ing surprise!
