Thanks 49er. Your post and an earlier one from Alex cleared up something for me. I didn't pay much attention to the Ahshanti or Cambior siuation as being real problesm because the margin amounts involved only a few hundred million dollars. (The Fed and BOE could engineer a bailout of that magnitude before breakfast).

But these companies owe GOLD. That's different.
