It seems that way:

["EMC is known for its robust but very expensive data storage systems, but because the company's products aren't servers, the Raw Iron initiative would be a new direction for the company. EMC's storage products currently connect to
servers from other companies, such as IBM, Sun, Compaq, or HP."
]

In the article that I read b4 I posted, there was a mention of MSFT's NT so that was why I asked about EMC's use of Sun's products.

Gosh, the technology has gotten so complicated and changes so quickly that it is difficult to ask questions. Now, Sun is in the appliance business as well with their JAVA RAY. I don't know if they have brought out other appliances. I haven't been able to keep up.

Thanks very much for your post, John.

Best wishes,

Mephisto

John,

EMC sells a Media Server and a Network Attached Storage server.

Do you not know this or did I misunderstand your post?

Regards....
