He also told me he sold all the remaining shares of Loral he was holding for his clients. This is the fourth time this year that Bernard Schwartz has invested his personal money in GSTRF, but not a penny in LOR. I think the message that Bernard Schwartz is sending the investment community is very clear. He personally supports GSTRF, but does not consider LOR a good investment at this time. LOR and GSTRF tracked each other until BS made his first big 1999 personal purchase of GSTRF at the end of March. From this point on GSTRF performed better than LOR. In mid June BS made another big purchase and GSTRF really pulled ahead of LOR. You may be correct about the message BS is trying to send, but the market obviously is interpreting it differently. By the way, someone from the AOL LOR thread contacted Jeanette at LOR IR and confirmed BS's purchase today. What, exactly, is everybody so worried about all of a sudden? I agree that there is over reaction, that a lot of risk has been retired, that the current roll out problems were foreseeable. I also agree that there is a market and someday this will be a faint memory and we will be rewarded for being patient. But I also agree that this is going to be dead money for at least a couple of quarters. I for one, am holding and staying long. As such I completely understand the sentiment for wanting to put money elsewhere for a bit. I just can't time the market -- don't even want to try. Good luck to all! Mr A
