What a civil post! Shows much greater character than the typical vituperative response you see on many threads. Your gracious conduct commends you, sir.

I had actually logged on tonight thinking to myself "If you're going to crow when ANCR is up 21% vs. BRCD's 8%, then you'd better be prepared to eat crow when BRCD is up 4% and ANCR is down 5%."

With regard to one day's price action: Spare us the daily noise - May the group proceed posthaste to fulfill its potential!

Personally, I'm more interested in learning from FC_Fan about the technical differences between the ANCR and BRCD switches. Also to learn whether I am correct in assuming that 'disinterested' means 1) no long or short position, and 2) no professional association/linkage to either firm.

To date, the best insights I've ever received were from an engineer friend who was/is a customer of both ALTR and XLNX and was able to provide a balanced review of each. (Summary review: Buy both!)

Someone out there reading this has that professional prospective on ANCR and BRCD: I hope he/she will share it with this thread.... (Extra bonus points if you can shed light on VIXL also!)

Lastly, Neville, I can't step up now and buy BRCD at 9x ANCR: I'd have to admit I was wrong when BRCD was only 5x ANCR in early June. Couldn't do that, could I?

(Besides, I don't think my testosterone level is high enough!)

Best to you in the markets....
