Joel, bravo! and Hear! Hear!

UF and LB have created my most valuable investment asset. LB's bravery and UF's ability to discipline this thread without unpleasantries is unique to SI and perhaps to the whole investment chat world!!!

UF is being too humble here, but that is part of his charm.

Of course, all of UF's charisma and LB's bravery would be worth little without the tremendous community that works and plays here. You folks are terrific. Thanks to ALL OF YOU!

It is interesting that the closest thing we have to a thread moron here is me!

PS: Jill, as I write this I am watching what is clearly "the team of the nineties" whooping up on my beloved Braves. Congratulations on a well executed civil war and a fine ball club, Yankees. <vbg>

I was referring to the fact that you and LindyBill started this thread. Somebody else might have eventually started a similar thread based on the GG, but you were first.

I'd like to pipe in here with what might be a unique perspective. I started a GG thread on the AOL's version of the Fool and assumed a role there similar to the one Frank has here. But that thread wasn't nearly as good as this one.

I believe there are two reasons for the superior performance of this thread. The first is the particular slant of the content (making room for discussion of kings instead of limiting it to potential gorillas). Kudos to Bill and Frank for that. The second reason is the incredible leadership by Frank.

My long-winded point is that while others might have started a GG thread, personal experience tells me that that there's a LOT more to it than being there first.
