Tonight I was trying to post, find something online, and make dinner all at once, because I had put off cooking as usual til too late to make what I had planned and so I was trying to thaw hamburger, find some frozen vegetables and cook a box of rice pilaf fast. I put it all on the stove and went back to the computer. After about 25 minutes I went in and there was all this water with gooey rice floating in it. Something was very wrong with the instant rice. Why wasn't the water absorbed? Then I realized that I had filled my big pasta pan with water, and thrown the rice in, instead of the cup and a half in a saucepan, like the box said.
Rice--- pasta... they're so alike..

Ammo walked in and looked at the fat swollen soft little maggotkernels.

"Oh good! Orzo?"

"Yup!" I said and drained the icky rice and put a lot of butter and salt on it. He said it was good.

Thanks, E. I reckon it is. I'm probably looking at shots in the neck. An out-patient but they dope you. That'd be if it's a bulging disc, I think. Then if that doesn't work, on to surgery if I want it.
Today was a day I'd say "cut me open, pleeeeeeeeeaaaase!" But I dunno. Spooky. I wish they could do it with you awake.
